I suspect you will enjoy using your M lenses on the CL a lot.  Just moments ago I mounted my 90mm M Macro on my CL and am head out to see what I can find. I think Leica was very wrong to discontinue the CL which I use much more than my SL2. As a long time M user I like the size of the CL and its simplicity and using the tiny M lenses on it is a delight. I agree that if you have several M lenses getting another adaptor makes sense. I found both mine at Leica Miami (several years between) which is a good place to keep an eye on. They pop up now and then. Hope you have not suffered too much from Helena-the-Witch. Asheville got hit hard and from the East is pretty unaccessable now. Our home was spared, but as you probably know Asheville was decimated. Water is slowly coming back, but it won't be drinkable for months. Very sad. We escaped to our home in Florida 2 days after the storm. I'm receiving the CL Wednesday along with the Elmarit-TL 18mm f2.8. My expectations for that lens are low, and I'm hoping that a couple of my M lenses will produce images that, if not on par with images from my M11M, are reasonably acceptable. The lenses I'm thinking of using with the adapter are 21/3.4 super elmar and 35 cron APO. I've also got the 35 steel rim reissue whose rendering wide open I'm obsessed with. I too wish the CL hadn't been discontinued. I could see it selling well if they just upped the resolution to say 40mp and gave it a flip down LCD. Of course it would be fabulous if they could do that plus stick a full frame sensor in it without affecting size, but I can't imagine that ever happening as it would probably significantly adversely affect Q sales. Advertisement Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Hi brickftl, Take a look here 35 TL vs 23 TL. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Le Chef Posted October 28, 2024 Share #22  Posted October 28, 2024 Seeing images of Asheville is a sad sight. I'm hoping it can recover fast enough for tourists to return and spend money there again. The CL is a great camera, and I would encourage you to consider the TL11-23 zoom lens as it's a great performer. I think 24MP APSC sensor is probably enough. If Leica had a more up-to-date 24MP sensor with PDAF, I think that would make quite a difference in terms of usability. I used to poo-poo the folding back screen, but now find myself using it on my Q3 more often than I thought I would.

I doubt it’s a high-volume item. Edited October 28, 2024 by Gregm61

He wanted to leave at first, too, but then decided to stay, helping his neighbors. Re that little TL 18mm, it's really a useful focal length. Combined with how little it weighs and how small it is, this is a good travel companion. I have the 18, 23 and 35, for me the 23 has become my go-to lens when I'm on the road, but I also often "pack" the 18, just in case I end up in tight quarters and need the wider angle of view. I used to own the 11-23, which is optically in a different league and highly recommended. Not many of these available any more, though, people don't often part with such good glass. Good luck with your new acquisition, I am sure you will enjoy the CL.

I'll probably keep both - use the 18 when I'm just out with friends or husband and want a bring along point/shoot, and will use the 11-23 when I'm out shooting street. tommonego@gmail.com Posted October 29, 2024 Share #26  Posted October 29, 2024 Just was out with a 1953 Summicron on my CL, since the lens is not profiled I used a 3rd party adapter.
An Nguyen Posted November 4, 2024 Share #27  Posted November 4, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) If it were me, I would buy SIGMA 23mm f1.4  and  Leica TL 35mm. Because Sigma is cheap, introduced last year, and I find it better than TL sumicron 23mm, both in specs and image quality.
Markey Posted December 2, 2024 Share #28  Posted December 2, 2024 IMO you can`t go wrong with either the 18/23 or 35. I found all three useful and optically more than sufficient .
