Solomon's Knot, a period/authentic music collective, performing Monteverdi's Vespro della Beata Vergine at the university concert hall a few days ago. Their USP is that they perform not just with period instruments but without a conductor and sing entirely from memory - no mean feat for such a monumental work. The eye contact between the performers in each section was very obvious.

All photos taken with the SL2-S and 90-280SL zoom using the electronic shutter (for silence), taken from behind the back row. Fortunately the lighting was of sufficient quality that I could see no banding of consequence.

The performance was much more passionate and performative than we are used to at a classical music event, especially for notionally religious music.

At one stage the theorbo player (theorbist?) and a few singers came to sing and play from the back of the hall where I was - I hastily slipped off to the side out of their way, but still got a couple of shots around a pillar. The last one looked almost black straight out of the camera: a tribute to the SL2-S sensor and Adobe's AI noise reduction tool.

I was wandering around before the performance, and saw this violinist tuning up in a corridor behind a screen (hence the reflections). I assumed she was one of the performers, so hastily took a couple of shots before she saw me (24-90SL). She was not, but they are too charming to leave out (and I like the patterning on her instrument).
