psquared Posted December 30, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 30, 2007 Keith, Welcome to the forum and congratulations. Al Gage has posted some amazing digiscoping pictures, and I'm sure he will again once the Midwest gets thawed out in a few months. Peter
michali Posted December 30, 2007 Share #3 Posted December 30, 2007 Hi Keith, I'm also new to the forum. I've had an Apo 77 for over 10 years, an amazing scope I can assure you! I also have a pair of 8X42 trinovids which I've dragged all over Africa with me for about 10 years as well and they still perform fantastically well. I left them outside my tent one night and a hyeana chewed through the strap and rubber eye piece but didn't manage to damage the body, its toothmarks are still visible! I also recently purchased a pair of 8X32 ultravids for walking in the bush, they're much lighter than my 8X42's. Enjoy! Regards, MIKE

albert Posted December 30, 2007 Share #5 Posted December 30, 2007 Welcome Keith & Mike & thanks for the kind words Peter. DD posted some digiscoped birds a few years ago that caught my interest. I became interested because I didn't own any Leica Bodies or long lenses. I purchased my 77 last Spring and highly recommend it. Here is one of my favorites shot with a D-Lux 3 & Leica Digital Adapter 2. The C-Lux fits better but it's hard to give up the 10 megapixels for 5 or 7. P.S......This bird was across the street from my home at the top of an old utility pole. 20 X........Al
