Hi friends. I’m wondering if any other Q3 43 owners have experienced this issue. I noticed twice today that the macro ring was accidentally shifted while I was out. Upon closer inspection, it seems to have less resistance than any of my previous Q bodies, including my Q3. I’m unsure if it’s worth the hassle to contact Leica about it, but I’ll monitor it to see if it keeps happening before making a decision.

Yes my Q3 43 macro ring is not as stiff as the Q3 28. Perhaps it was done on purpose. I don’t have issues with mine moving on its own.
Everyone who owns both a Q3 28 and Q3 43 please let us know if yours feels looser on the 43, this way we can determine if it was intentional.

I actually noticed last night that it does move a little easier and I accidentally bumped it out of position a few times while I was adjusting aperture on a tripod.  I still haven't had it happen hand held, though.  At least the camera shows a message, so not a big deal to just turn it back a little.

I was running around in streets for past few days shooting cars with 43 handheld. Never once did camera go into macro mode by accident.

Have both 28 & 43 in font of me right now. Yes the 28 macro ring is slightly tighter or stiffer, hair more resistance.

43 thou no problem with it slipping into macro mode when hand held over the 3 days of using it non stop at event.

Thanks everyone for chiming in. I went back to my Leica store today and handled their demo Q3 28 and Q3 43. Both felt the same (less resistance) as my Q3 43. I also brought my Q3 28 (with the stiffer resistance) and the folks there thought it was tighter than usual. My guess is they loosed the resistance over time in the production or something.

Also, to clarify, my ring has never moved on its own. It's moved when I've been handling the camera (holding by the lens, removing it from a bag, etc.)
