I'm in the U.S. and was on the B&H waitlist (after a lot of other people apparently). Hoping to get the D-Lux 8 in time for some November travel, I also called several U.S. Leica stores and got on their specific store's lists. Got a call from Leica Boston on Thursday and received my package on Saturday. Good luck!

It seems the second order waiting time is getting longer than the first order.

C’mon, this is not Germany hand made  This is China made mass production!

Neither. Leica always stocks up for initial demand ( never enough😉) and starts producing for follow-up orders. It is not relevant where the production takes place, it is a supply chain thing. That will create a momentary dip in availability.

Playing hungry trick seems a widely selling practice. But I guess to some extent it could scare away the demands. Don’t know how Leica manage it.

Mine is due for delivery tomorrow (finally) after pre-ordering!

Would you mind telling us with whom you ordered your D-Lux 8? I have one on order from Clifton Cameras with an anticipated October delivery, but as yet have heard nothing.

MPB have 1x "Like new" example for £1250 currently if you want to take the chance, they're usually good with their descriptions and the pictures are like new in appearance etc...

My original order was from Park Cameras - however I changed at the last minute and got a Q so they may or may not have one available, or they've likely offered it to the next person on the pre-order list.
