Ozymandias Posted October 4, 2024 Share #1 Posted October 4, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've only had the Q3 43 for a few days, but I own the Q3 (28) and am familiar with the principal settings of the Q3 series. I changed the function buttons on my Q3 43 to (FN1) Self Timer, (FN2) ISO, (FN3) Digital Zoom, (FN4) Magnification. These changes were activated by pressing and holding the FN button/s until the list of available functions appeared on the screen, then scrolling to the desired function, and pressing the centre button to confirm the change. This worked fine, with subsequent usage of the FN buttons activating the functions of my choice. However, on at least 3 occasions, the FN buttons have defaulted to the original factory designated actions. This seems to have happened randomly - sometimes after the camera has been turned off - sometimes during normal usage. I have 'reset' the FN buttons to my chosen functions each time, and they stay as is with my changed options, but then they change back again to the default settings after some time. I can't (as yet) pinpoint any other action that I'm doing that may somehow trigger this 'revert to default' setting. The camera was shipped with the current/latest firmware, and the battery was fully charged. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this? Advertisement Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Hi Ozymandias, Take a look here Q3 43 FN function buttons randomly defaulting to factory settings. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
WeiterWinkel Posted October 5, 2024 Share #2 Posted October 5, 2024 I can't help you with the reset problem. But you can save your custom settings in a profile. It's easier to choose a profile than to change a lot of function buttons after a reset.
Bill Toole Posted August 27 Share #3 Posted August 27 I have exactly this problem. Anyone have any idea on how to fix it ? Thanks :-)
jaapv Posted August 27 Share #4 Posted August 27 Set your buttons to your taste, save as your user profile. If you do not save, the settings will get lost. (see the manual)
