I'm a new user of the Q3, and though I've even resorted to reading the manual, I can't find an answer to this one.

On my 'other' camera, I can take the focus point back to the centre of the screen by double clicking a button.  I've been told I can take the Q3 focus point back to the centre by double tapping the screen.  The trouble is, that I favour having the screen switched off all the time, apart from reviewing images.  So my question is this - is there a way to take the focus point back to centre by doing something other than touching the main screen - ie pressing a button?

I suppose it's not the end of the world if there isn't a way, but it would be pleasing to me if there was.....   thank you.......

I have my EVF set to "EVF-Extended" (Menu #5 - Display Settings - EVF-LCD) and the back LCD is essentially off but double tap to recenter focus works (as does moving focus point with finger if you have that setting activated).  With this setting the LCD does work for menu and reviewing images and will turn on when the tilt screen is used but for typical use (using the EVF) it is off.

I seem to get a different behaviour when trying to do this on my Q3 vs Q3 43. I can't find anything wrong in the settings but maybe I have set something incorrectly.

Q3: Focussing > Touch AF "off" + Touch AF in EVF "quick setting only" allows me to re-centre with a double tap both when using the LCD and EVF

Q3 43: Same settings, double tap does nothing.

Am I missing a setting?

EDIT: This was user error indeed, had not noticed that my Q3 43 had slipped into manual focus mode.
