I bought mine for a specific project.... I'm part of a collective www.24photography.org where we each have 1 hour of the 24 hrs from 00.00 on 1 st Jan each year to take 'an image that represents that time'. I did 23.00 this year and I knew from forecasts that it was going to be very very wet... too wet for me to risk my M, and indeed it was. The Q2 got absolutely soaked and I was having to stop every few minutes to shake the water off the camera and run a cloth over the filter. It worked perfectly, and will stay just in case of similar conditions!

I sold my Q2 in order to move to M (I had m film but never had had M digital before Q2), and I promised myself I would stay with M for as long as it takes.

When Q3 came out, I looked and decide not buying it because it's too similar to Q2 albeit nice and better sensor, etc.

But then Q3 43 came out, and I cannot resist anymore. I know how good Q2 is and I still miss it, and now I have 43mm APO, I have to have it.

Here I am now. Bunch of M+lenses and a Q3 43.

 

Leica played me very well with this 43mm lens. 😆

As I posted before its the APO lens which is the pull for me on the new Q.

An APO M lens is way over the top for me .

In all other respects an M body would be good. 

Although I use an CL and SL2s their AF leaves a lot to be desired and the new Q doesn`t sound as if there has been much improvement .

Same here. I have M 35 APO and 50 APO.

As soon as I saw Q3 coming with 43 APO, I knew I am doomed, I rushed to check my bank account
