Shutter release collar for the Leica Standard

I was to see if there was an option like this for a shutter release collar on the Leica standard or is this a tale tell sign of a copy?

The collar on the Standard simply unscrews, and so could have been swapped at any time for aftermarket, etc.

No, it was a third-party product - if my memory is correct, it was made by a company called Stewartry. I bought mine the in early 1960s to use with my Leica II, and only a few months ago found the original Leitz-made collar in a long-forgotten box that dates back two house moves ago.

Thanks guys! There was some info that Leitz supplied a few for the US market.

Leica NY made something similar for a while, but it's not quite like that one. Similar. I think mine is like yours, though, not from Leica.

I think the question really was is your camera real. It does appear to be.
