SgtPepper Posted September 8, 2024 Share #1 Posted September 8, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, As a Q2 owner, one of the major upgrade incentives to the Q3 I see the improved connectivity with USB-C and HDMI. My question: Is it simply possible to watch images on the Q3 on a TV, since this is a more complex task to accomplish with the Q2 via WiFi (I only know to load them into Lightroom and then use e.g. the Lightroom App for an Apple TV). I ask because all research just brought me the info that the HDMi is mainly thought for video and external recording. All the best, Sebastian
Advertisement Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Hi SgtPepper, Take a look here Q3 photos via HDMI. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted September 8, 2024 Share #2 Posted September 8, 2024 It should work via FOTOS and Airplay.
mrlouie Posted September 10, 2024 Share #3 Posted September 10, 2024 Yes, if it’s a HDMI output it will output audio & video from camera. Get a micro HDMI to HDMI cable. Photos should output thru HDMI also. Works that way with all other cameras I have had.
SgtPepper Posted September 11, 2024 Author Share #4 Posted September 11, 2024 @mrlouie Thanks! I actually bought the Q3 in the meantime and the HDMI cable arrives today so I will give it a try. @jaapv Thanks, I didn’t think of that option. I almost never use the mirroring function of the Apple TV due to the lag. But I will give it a try!
mrlouie Posted September 15, 2024 Share #5 Posted September 15, 2024 I just tried it, found a micro hdmi cable I had put away. Worked fine no issues. This is good cable to keep if you travel and want to view photos on external TV monitor.
