Trutta Posted September 7, 2024 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Was curious if anyone knows if the 35mm 3.5 summaron LTM can screw into the goggles. I don't believe it can, because the version meant for the goggles needs to account for the optical correction of the goggles, and thus has a different focusing helical pitch. (i think i've gotten that right).
jc_braconi Posted September 9, 2024 Share #3 Posted September 9, 2024 I have a Sumricron 2/35 from M3 ungoogled and it screws in Leica Screw Mount cameras, so why not....
luigi bertolotti Posted September 12, 2024 Share #4 Posted September 12, 2024 (edited) Given that the question is if "it can screw into", imho the answer is yes... if the rangefinder coupling is ok, it's another matter 😉 ... I had a Summaron 2,8 unscrewed from goggles : it mounted and focused "correctly" on a LTM body (infinity was infinity, and distances on scale matched with the real ones) but RF coupling was not correct. Anyway, the depicted goggle unit is surely not the one made for the Summaron 3,5. Edited September 12, 2024 by luigi bertolotti
