FrancescoBarilaro Posted September 4, 2024 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I can't transfer images from my LEICA Q3 via USB cable to Mac. I can see the images on all programs but at the end of the import it gives me the error message (Error com.apple.ImageCapture -9934). (-9934). Has anyone solved it? Thanks Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Hi FrancescoBarilaro, Take a look here Leica Q3 - Error 9934. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted September 4, 2024 Share #2 Posted September 4, 2024 This is normally an error that occurs between an iPhone and a Mac. For a camera it is a new one to me. Switch between PTP and Mass Storage. Otherwise use your postprocessing program to import the images. If that does not help use a card reader.
FrancescoBarilaro Posted September 4, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted September 4, 2024 Even with PTP and Mass Storage it doesn't make me import them. It was to avoid using the card reader but import directly to the Mac without removing the Sd card.

Thanks It could be many things causing the error, even the type of USB-C cable you are using. I can upload images from my Q3 via USB-C and Adobe Photo Downloader or manually to a folder of my choice. The Adobe Photo Downloader has been buggy ever since I upgraded to the M2Pro Mac Mini and has quit on me a few times. The Q3 must be set to Mass Storage for the computer to recognize it. With that said, I am running the Beta versions of both Bridge and Photoshop as well as Mac OS 15.0 Beta (Sequoia)
Qwertynm Posted September 6, 2024 Share #5 Posted September 6, 2024 this is only tangential to your question but just something that popped into my mind after reading your connectivity issues. Since iOS Apps can run on MacOS why isn't Leica pursuing to port their App over to MacOS. It would solve two things: the need to take off their wireless charging grip to access the card and/or the need to plug in a cable to offload the photos. Seems a simple enough solution. You can have the charging pad next to your monitor and have the camera or other wireless charging capable devices sit on that mat while offloading images. No more fiddling with cards or cables. That'd be quite neat actually.
