Leica cameras are famous for stills photography, but now we get video capabilities too.  The forums / fora are full of still images, but there do not seem to be threads for videos.  Is this because they are simply too big as files.  It might be interesting to see some short videos by more the more experienced amongst us.

Just a suggestion.

I think a big challenge is that video is still so hard to share if you are taking it seriously. There is a lot more work required to edit and share a video than a still image. Then there is the massive quality hit that occurs when compressing a video down to a size that is displayable on the internet. It's even hard to find a tv or video player that will display the content at original quality, at least without specialized equipment or a full computer. I have had a few video installations in museums here, and none of them were able to show the videos in their full quality....almost always had to convert it to h.264 HD instead of 4k 10 bit 422 etc.

I have some videos on vimeo, but they were mostly taking with the S1 or an A7S. I only got an SL2S this year, and was mostly using the Panasonic S1 over the SL2 before that, as I do a lot of night work. This is my most recent installation, but again, mostly done with other cameras. I should also note that I am not a video specialist by any stretch of the imagination. I mostly treat it as moving still photos, and muddle through editing in Resolve.

there are posts for videos on SL2-s in this forum. but they may get lost in the feed.

Maybe someone can pin a gallery to the top just for video.

I tried that when the M240 came out I think there was one contributor besides me.
