Advertisement Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 Hi jaapv, Take a look here How to critique without giving offense. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted August 20, 2024 Author Share #2 Posted August 20, 2024 How to critique Always remember that the image was posted because the poster found it worthy Be respectful and constructive Always start with the things you like about the image. Restrict yourself to improvements to the composition, technical and postprocessing aspects. Remember that we have photographers of all levels here and that we share a common passion. If you want to repost the image with what you think are improvements, at least offer to remove on request ( a moderator can do that for you) or seek permission. If you respond to critique do so in a factual and non-combative manner Appreciate that somebody took the time to look at your image in-depth and comment on it, even if you disagree completely. Don't clog up image threads by overly long discussions or going off-topic. They are image threads, after all. If you don't want your image critiqued, say so when posting it. Above all be respectful. A critique should be an informative experience. That way our forum experience can be enhanced.
