Things do traditionally quieten down as the Northern winter approaches, and people have Christmas stuff to do, but things will liven up in the Spring again. As far as the Challenge is concerned, don't forget to put 11th October 2008 in your diary and book your flight to Krakow early

ndjambrose Posted December 18, 2007 Share #42 Posted December 18, 2007 Neil Have you been through the Photo section here, recently? Things do traditionally quieten down as the Northern winter approaches, and people have Christmas stuff to do, but things will liven up in the Spring again. As far as the Challenge is concerned, don't forget to put 11th October 2008 in your diary and book your flight to Krakow early I've tried the photo forum, but to be honest, Andy, I struggle with it a little. One of the problems I find is that it's difficult to get an appreciation of the whole. Every post has to be sampled blind - it's easy to miss good stuff, and sometimes easy to find less good stuff. The overall effect is rather like a broken narrative, and makes it difficult to savour. I dip in from time to time, but am pretty sure I'm not appreciating the potential of what people post there. By contrast, I've come to like the new gallery design on LFI. One of it's strengths is that it presents photographs as coherent bodies of work belonging to different photographers. It's more like reading a book, than leafing through a pile of postcards. Anyway - I've gone rather off topic. My apologies to anyone who wanted to talk about Leicavits. Rolo Posted December 18, 2007 Share #43 Posted December 18, 2007 Well, my hopes rest on the minority I've seen a lot of 'I love my M6/M7/MP/M8/ruler' posts lately. But not much evidence of people with an interest in photography. As someone who has been posting photographs like crazy recently, I can confirm that there's at least 7 people here that are more than enthusiastic about making pictures. Maybe they aren't good enough. This is obviously a 'gear based site' for owners of specific equipment and consequently gear is a prime subject. Or, am I reading you wrong? Are you referring to discussions on photography rather than image making? Your web site content is excellent, but I note that you've not posted images here yet. I sincerely look forward to that. Rolo edit- Sorry Neil, I was writing whilst you were posting.
