Derbyshire Man Posted August 11, 2024 Share #21 Posted August 11, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks Vistech, I know how to do it though, it's more that in a series of landscapes with sky the spots are going to be in the same place, so the ability to apply again to the next image rather than reselect the same 10 spots in the same position was what I was after. Thanks again!
Advertisement Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Hi Derbyshire Man, Take a look here Is anyone's sensor ever "perfectly" clean?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Vistech Posted August 11, 2024 Author Share #22 Posted August 11, 2024 Skipped over the word "macro" in your previous post Derbyshire Man. That would indeed be useful!
thedirektor Posted September 20, 2024 Share #23 Posted September 20, 2024 I just posted a question about "how clean should my sensor be" on the M262 forum. Seems like many of you here are answering that you'll never get rid of a few dust spots. Could I kindly ask you to have a look at this image and tell me if this is manageable dust and that it's impossible to shift ? Thanks you. Indra Welcome, dear visitor! Derbyshire Man Posted September 21, 2024 Share #24 Posted September 21, 2024 Looks like quite a lot to me. I'd probably tackle that. One or two in the sky zone at f8 I can handle, once it's more than that...

david strachan Posted September 22, 2024 Share #26 Posted September 22, 2024 Looks like mine quite often. I find it impossible to get the sensor perfectly clean...never happens even with 6 or so new wipes and fluid, which starts to get expensive. I have to put up with this fault of camera design by Leica. Never a problem with any of numerous other digital cams as most have a shakey sensor to dislodge the dust. Still, I got used to it, and very rarely clean...almost all my pics taken open, or up to f8, rarely. Every series of pics I take open sky pics at f22 to check my sensor on the monitor. Then keep tabs of any blobs...clean or clone. Just not worth the angst to do anything else. ...
