Focus preview at chosen f stop

With manual focus on Q3 the image in the viewfinder is not stopped down to the selected f stop. How can I preview the focus at the f stop I have selected?

I found.this online which may be  helpful.

 

"From my understanding, which has been confirmed by Leica, it’s like that:

The Q3 only provides DOF preview with:

• Manual focus mode &

• AFs (single).

It does not work in AFi or AFc.

But even then. It only gives you a DOF preview with the shutter half-pressed. And even then. It still not always shows you the correct exposure in the preview, which means you don’t get always what you see. Then you still need to double check in Play mode. I don’t want to double check. I use the histogram and operate with an EVF - I got the Leica to shoot distraction-free."

DOF preview in an EVF is highly inaccurate as DOF depends on magnification throughout the imaging chain to create the final image. To the point of being useless.

I always double check after the shot (Play). If necessary and possible, l repeat the shot. Not always an option in street photography.

I find the ‘Play’ to respond very slowly.  “Auto Play” is set OFF.  Is this a Memory Card issue, or is it a Setting issue in the Camera?  Thanks
