Hi all,

I used to bring my hp5 and tri-x to a pro lab in central London for a £9 process only, I have now discovered that from snappy snaps process only is £4,99.

It seems to me there's no difference but I'm not an expert.

Can anyone tell me if there is any difference, and why this gap of price?

Thanks

I'll second the motion for home developing of B&W films. Minimal expense, maximal control and a whole lot more fun!

IMHO you will never get B&W processing done by someone else as good as you can do it yourself, unless you pay a LOT of money! Think how long it takes, and the hourly rate. Commercial Dev. has always been les than ideal for B&W since they have to use developers which last a long time in the tank etc. One shot developers are better but time/labour intensive.

C41 or E6 is different, made for machine processing. If you want easy B&W use chromogenic films and C41.

Gerry
