I have a Leica Typ 114 and while shooting earlier this afternoon  with the aperture set to F/8 however, the image on the LCD was really under exposed, confirmed by the RAW file when exported to Lightroom and the aperture was showing as F/1.0 both on the LCD and Lightroom (impossible I know as the aperture range is 2.8-4.) I had to do a factory reset to resolve the issue. Anyone else had the same problem or know what the cause might be? I have emailed Leica UK support but they won't be open until tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

After the factory reset, did the camera behave normally? In such circumstances,  I often find merely switching off and on cures the temporary glitch.

Thank you for your reply, to answer your question, yes the camera did behave normally, I've not used it today but I will be keeping a very close eye. If all else fails, it's covered by a 12 month warranty anyway and I only bought it recently, second hand from WEX Photographic.

It is a great camera. Mine is in regular use and it is very versatile.

I also have a D-Lux Typ 109 for street photography which is permanently set to black and white square format.

Cameras like computers lose their way on occasion. A full reset usually solves the problem (but not always).
