Phil Rogers Posted August 8, 2024 Share #1 Posted August 8, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a Leica Typ 114 and while shooting earlier this afternoon with the aperture set to F/8 however, the image on the LCD was really under exposed, confirmed by the RAW file when exported to Lightroom and the aperture was showing as F/1.0 both on the LCD and Lightroom (impossible I know as the aperture range is 2.8-4.) I had to do a factory reset to resolve the issue. Anyone else had the same problem or know what the cause might be? I have emailed Leica UK support but they won't be open until tomorrow. Thanks in advance. Phil

wda Posted August 8, 2024 Share #2 Posted August 8, 2024 After the factory reset, did the camera behave normally? In such circumstances, I often find merely switching off and on cures the temporary glitch.
Phil Rogers Posted August 9, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted August 9, 2024 Thank you for your reply, to answer your question, yes the camera did behave normally, I've not used it today but I will be keeping a very close eye. If all else fails, it's covered by a 12 month warranty anyway and I only bought it recently, second hand from WEX Photographic.
wda Posted August 9, 2024 Share #4 Posted August 9, 2024 It is a great camera. Mine is in regular use and it is very versatile.
Phil Rogers Posted August 9, 2024 Author Share #5 Posted August 9, 2024 I also have a D-Lux Typ 109 for street photography which is permanently set to black and white square format. Phil Rogers Photo (myportfolio.com)
kivis Posted November 1, 2024 Share #6 Posted November 1, 2024 Cameras like computers lose their way on occasion. A full reset usually solves the problem (but not always).
