I downloaded the new firmware to a freshly formatted SD card and also got a message no new firmware found. I tried several times with the same result. However, I was able to download and install the firmware through the Leica FOTOS app.

This shakes my confidence in Leica. This is a bug in a fix for a problem (overwriting images) that should never have happened.

Same problem here.

Might be deluding myself, but I thought most firmware releases had either an underscore or double underscore between the camera type "Q3" and the release number "205". This has a hyphen.

Confirming that renaming the file to q3_205.lfu let's the camera pick it up and run the update as normal via SD card.

I used the U.S. link that Leica emailed to me but same issue with firmware not found on the card. I don't mind doing it with FOTOS but I'm going to wait a few days and make sure there aren't any problems with the update.

Good catch!

Updated via Fotos

The problem with function 2 button going back to the default of switching between photo and video, even after reloading profiles with it set to AF Lock, still remains.  It's been there for many months so obviously Leica doesn't feel it was important enough to be included in the firmware big fixes. The flashing in the EVF when set to 120Hz seems to have been fixed.

It would be useful if Leica stated what has been fixed rather than putting the onus on users to test everything.

I had seven pictures on the memory card that I hadn't yet transferred to my phone via Fotos. Tried transferring after the firmware update and get a message stating there was an error. The transfer never actually started. I took a new picture and that downloaded OK, so it's just pictures on the card taken before the firmware update that cannot be transferred.

Edited to add that whereas in the previous firmware whatever number profile you had set it would show that number on the quick menu next to the person icon, it now doesn't show the number. So, if you make a change to a profile, whereas in the previous firmware version you could tell because the profile number disappeared, you now have no visual indication that you have changed a setting from the ones set in the chosen profile. Nice one Leica, very clever. Fix a big and add one too!

Udating via FOTOS app and restoring my profiles worked without any issues here.

Except of the issue with the counter of the DNG-files which startet agin with 1 after the upgrade. But learned about the workaround in the German forum and so I'm fine again.
