plasticman Posted August 5, 2024 Share #1 Posted August 5, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Been having a lot of fun with the new-to-me Leica CL that I bought from Fotohandel Delfshaven in Delft. It accompanied me and the family on a trip around Barcelona, Bilbao and some small towns in-between. The camera seems to have worked (almost) flawlessly (although the films aren't scanned yet) with one exception: often I have to really drag the wind-lever several times to its most extreme point before it jumps back and allows me to continue shooting. This only happens when there's film in the camera. It's like there's just half-a-millimeter left, and the lever just sits there and won't spring back into position (which allows the next shot to be taken), until I've really forced it a couple of times. Pretty sure I'm loading the film correctly (I've owned the camera before). Any ideas what might be wrong with it? And how to fix? Many thanks for any constructive input. Michael Geschlecht Posted October 1, 2024 Share #2 Posted October 1, 2024 (edited) Hello plasticman, Welcome back. No idea about the camera. You might check with someone/someplace who/that deals in older Minolta mechanical film cameras? Perhaps a person/place in Japan? Best Regards, Michael Edited October 1, 2024 by Michael Geschlecht
