I was trying to get a whole case for the Q3 in leather. Leica had done one for the 116, and the Bangkok store had one in stock (exorbitant price though- 800-900 USD), but if I pushed the body in with some force, it was very obvious that it would not work for the Q3 because of the screen. So here is something in leather which a friend brought back from China for the modest sum of approx 72 USD.

That’s a nice looking case.

Gotta admit, because of their politics I try to avoid Chinese product…but in cases like this where I can buy something from China and save enough for two weeks groceries….

I have a beautiful 1/2 case for my Q that was $60.  A friend who spent $300 on an Oberworth 1/2 case admits mine is just as good.

I’ll pay for Leica cameras and glass…accessories I’ll save my money

Thank you.

Yes avoiding Chinese products for whatever reason can prove well nigh impossible. I am typing this out on an Apple Macbook, likely made for good part in China.

Do you have to remove the case to gain access to the battery and card?

David

The case is in two parts: if you are using the half case portion then the battery can be removed but not the card as the image below shows. If you are using the whole case then the battery also cannot be removed. In either event the access to C USB port and the mini HDMI port remains unimpeded
