My Nikon batteries had a plastic cover that protected the contacts and prevent a possible short. The Leica batteries are just naked. This doesn’t work for me because I like to have one or two spares in a pocket. Everything I see on line is a case thats to big or to expensive. My thought was maybe some small zip-lock bags. Looking for ideas. Thanks.

There are lots of small plastic storage cases available in the UK suitable for camera battery storge , e.g., https://www.reallyusefulstorageboxes.co.uk/really-useful-storage-boxes-0-07-litre-to-1-5-litre-c102x2022624     .... and very likely lots of similar products available in USA , e.g.,  https://www.amazon.com/small-plastic-storage-boxes/s?k=small+plastic+storage+boxes

Thanks but looking for something small i can just through in my pocket. The more I think about it, I think some small zip lock bag. Easily and inexpensively replaceable.

Jonathan, I use small Antistatic zip-lock bags to store batteries in bag or a pocket. These bags are also tougher and longer lasting then plastic ones.

I just use these pouches from Think Tank: https://www.thinktankphoto.com/products/battery-holder-2

They hold 2 SL batts just fine, and will protect them pretty well (don't go swimming with them, though). Think Tank used to make a slightly roomier model for DSLR/mirrorless batts, but that seems to have disappeared. Currently listed as back-ordered on the Think Tank site, but usually in stock at online outlets.

FWIW I have about eight of them loose in a bag pocket at weddings every week for like the last three years and they all still look and work like new. I use those aforementioned Leica socks for charged ones and then dead ones just chill loose in there.

My big idea is to place charged ones contacts down, and one(s) that need charging contacts up.
