I can't think of a better advice than whichever focal length you think you would use the most. For me it is 50mm. I got the 50mm APO SL when I first bought into the SL system (SL2-S in 2021) and it has been by far my most used lens (the 24-90mm is my second most used lens). 

I had intended to stop at those two lenses but, like many others, have ended up with other APO SL lenses (in my case 28, 75 and 90mm). I use the 90mm pretty regularly (landscapes when I don't feel like using the zoom lens, music gigs in larger venues). I generally only use the 28 and 75mm in very specific situations, so they don't get much use (the 75mm because I can crop the 50mm rather than carry two heavy primes, the 28mm because I usually use my zoom for wide shots, or then a compact less expensive 24mm/35mm). I am not sure if I will keep the 28mm in the long run as I don't think I use it often enough - I might move to a less expensive solution.

In terms of versatility, quality and sheer usage the 50mm APO SL is my favourite lens of any system I have ever used.

I am nevertheless very much in love with the 75mm - even though I don't use it very often I just adore the look it produces (which I think is simply a product of the focal length, no extra technical magic in the lens compared to the other APOs). I sold it once and ended up buying another one second hand. I won't sell it again in a hurry.
