Pete - Wasn't the Audi built by Crossthwaite and Gardner ?

They did build some- for AUDI ! It is difficult to keep up with what is "real" and what is "fake", or should I say "continuation" these days.

There is certainly trouble brewing up about race cars which have far more power, bigger/better brakes/LSD etc. than they did in period, looks like there may be a half-hearted crackdown coming. Lord March evidently will not be inviting quite a few cheats back to his events, including some GT 40 dudes. :(

It happens everywhere. My son competed for four years in saloon car racing and won a few times. When he did they all wanted to know how he had cheated. In fact he had told the builder of his car to keep strictly to the rules and to the best of our knowledge he did. When he stopped racing to concentrate on his business the fellows in the same class all admitted they had been cheating by hot -chipping, using different gear ratios, and some weight tricks. I'm glad my son didn't cheat and I knew he was a very good driver.

I hope these two are not fakes, the Subaru was driven by Petter Solberg who was one of the few that made the effort to entertain the crowd that day (first practice). Taken with a 50 mm lens, lots of zoom telephotos on the other side.

Two more Pete, all that stuff on the front end of the modern F1 car should be done away with in my opinion, makes them look like Origami cars. LOL

I am using the M8, with the Elmarit 28 mm ASPH, I bought the lens with the camera. Solberg with the 50 Summicron. Just got the camera so did not have any IR filters at the time.

These are shot RAW and processed in C1LE. I do very much like the look of M8 shots, they seems to have a clarity that I don't get with my Canon cameras. The day was generally overcast. The M8/28mm combo can be hand held at shutter speeds of 1/20 or even less and still get sharp photos with lots of DOF
