I had this lens with my CL for a couple of years and thought it was very good, and it reviews very well. I still kept it for a while with my SL2-S but nowadays have the SL 50mm ASPH (non APO) for a lighter alternative to the APO (which I also have). I sold my 35mm TL lens because that was a bit overkill amount of 50mm equiv. lenses.

I really liked the ergonomics of the TL lens on the SL2-S, but with the lower resolution and high ISO capabilities I preferred a full frame f2, which anyway gives about the same depth of field. The extra resolution of the SL2 means this lens makes a bit more sense than with the SL2-S, and it could benefit from the f1.4 light gathering in some scenarios.

Depening on how often you plan to use the lens some might say it would be better to get the benefit of the whole sensor, but it will certainly work very well!

I use this lens with an SL3 and It is extraordinary. The TL lenses were designed to the highest standard and perform really well on the SL2/3. I also use the 11-23mm. They are light and small. I have taken some portraits with the 35 TL that I am pleased with. Here is one.

Interesting .

I have the 18/23/35/60 and 55 -135 .

I`ve boxed them up to sell then unboxed them more times than I can remember.

They`re ok on my SL2s but I would be interested to see how they perform with more mp.
