I was given a ltm Canon with a 1.1 Zunow that had jammed focus because the focusing barrel had cracked across one of the set screws and the loose screw got into the helical threads. I eventually sent it to a repair tech for evaluation who was able to disassemble it and tried to have a new focusing barrel made to restore the lens. That effort failed, so I have no suggestions for you. (He did do a nice restoration of the Canon body however.)

No - gave the pieces to the tech in exchange for the Canon restore.
