tommonego@gmail.com Posted July 2, 2024 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a Zeiss 18mm f4 ZM it distorts a little and vignettes a lot. I have tried the 18mm ZM profile in Photoshop ACR but it over corrects on the M8, so I tried a 21mm f2.8 ACR profile and it worked well. Since I was always digging for this profile, I thought a better solution was using an in camera profile. In another thread the Elmarit-M 21mm f2.8 11134 profile was suggested. I bought an Akara template and set the mark on the lens mount just #6. There is a problem, a screw on the lens mount and it registers as being a profile mark at position #5, so I get the profile for the 28 f2.8 v3. I tried the 24mm f2.8 #2,3,6 and received the 28mm f2.8 V4. I have noticed that on the list of settings Akara sent with the template with the Zeiss 25mm f2.8 they say "with mount fix", I might be willing to have a new mount put on the lens if it solves this problem, Does anyone have ideas on this? Interestingly there are no profile marking using just slot #5 so everything is OK with just the screw hanging there. Here is the setting for the 21mm 11134. Welcome, dear visitor! jaapv Posted July 2, 2024 Share #2 Posted July 2, 2024 It is quite simple to do flat field correction in postprocessing.

I'll check that out, had difficulty finding it in ACR. I beleive it is only available with Adobe in Lightroom. jaapv Posted July 2, 2024 Share #4 Posted July 2, 2024 As far as I am aware it is available in C1, as a plugin for LR and also Raw Therapee. And there is Cornerfix. https://sourceforge.net/projects/cornerfix/
tommonego@gmail.com Posted July 3, 2024 Author Share #5 Posted July 3, 2024 I thought about Lightroom, which I have and Raw Therapee, but I decided to explore the options with ACR lens profiles. I wasn't 100% happy with the ZM profiles but ACR insisted I try the Super-Elmar 18mm profile, kept being the default. This looks quite good even with the cropped sensor. Welcome, dear visitor!
