Leica SL2 and Leica Lenses

I am planning to sell my Leica SL2 and several Leica L mount lenses.  I would like to apply the proceeds to a new Leica M11-P and some M mount lenses.  I would appreciate recommendations for the best way to sell these items.  I noticed that there are several Leica groups on Facebook, but I know little about them.

You might look at trading them in towards the M-11 at MPB, KEH, Adorama or BH Photovideo. I think Leica Miami will trade as well.

Fred Newberry,  I suggest you reconsider selling your SL2 and lenses until the many M11 issues are resolved...unless as in the famous Clint Eastwood, Dirty Harry movie line, "Do you feel lucky?"  Right now, the SL2 cameras are not trading in very well due to the flooded market and knock off at least 25% of the value for trade-in for SL lenses.  With the soft economy, now is not a good time to sell nor trade.  Perhaps a private sale would be an avenue to explore.   r/ Mark

You might try selling locally first. Prices for the SL2 have really gone down, so don't expect to get much for it. It's a great camera, so unless you really need the funding or aren't using it at all, I wouldn't try to sell it. You'll be lucky if you get more than $2.5K USD.

I would agree with the remarks suggesting it is a bad time to sell.  I picked up a cosmetically mint SL2 recently for about $3000 from an Indiana used camera store.  Still using it everyday to determine any functional flaws, none as of today. The camera arrived with firmware 1.0 and a mint looking box.
