In April of this year I was hiking in White Sands, Guadalupe Mountains and Saguaro National Parks. I used the Peak Design v.3 system to attach my Q2 to the strap of my daypack as a covenient way to have quick and easy access to the camera. All was well until the 3rd day in Saguaro when, first shot of the day, I look into the viewfinder and all I see are pink and green swirls in the EVF. I could make out the objects in view, but man it looked like looked like a psychedelic collage! All other camera functions worked perfectly. Well, here's where it gets interesting. I retrieve the Q2 out of my equipment bag a week later and the EVF is back to normal. Well, I was hiking in Hocking Hills State Park 3 days ago, I had the Q2, again, attached to the daypack strap, released it for the first shot of the day and the same problem stared right back at me . Please note that I had used the Q2 the day before with no problem. However, I had not attached it to the pack.

This spring, I thought the problem may have been due to having the viewfinder exposed to the bright desert sun when attached via the Peak Design v.3. But that's not the case at Hocking Hills 3 days ago. Question: Does anybody have an idea of what's going on? Thanks in advance for your help getting to the bottom of this.

 Sounds like magic... The only thing I can come up with is a flex cable not being pushed fully home and causing an intermittent bad contact when the camera is subjected to movement hanging lens down.
