hsw Posted December 7, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 7, 2007 Cute bird. Is that a rabbit out in front? Cheers, Henry
psquared Posted December 7, 2007 Share #3 Posted December 7, 2007 Peter, Nice Velvia colors and composition. The details are terrific, too. Peter
imported_peter_m Posted December 7, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted December 7, 2007 Thank you Henry and Peter. Henry, That would be a cow turd left from the fall, that image is from June after some rain. The little bugs come out of the turds and that made a pretty good feast for the Curlew's. There was quit a bunch of them in the meadow. Peter, That was the first time I loaded and scanned velvia... scanning went pretty good. Processing maybe could still be improved to get some cleaner files. Considering that is a 40+ year old lens it is not doing bad. Peter
azzo Posted December 8, 2007 Share #5 Posted December 8, 2007 ...a 40+year old lens that's giving you lovely images IMHO. Another good shot Peter, such lovely colours, detail and DOF. Azzo

Doc Henry Posted December 8, 2007 Share #7 Posted December 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) For me Fuji Velvia (or Provia) is the best for green and red, very warm colors, do you think so? Nice and sharp picture Peter ! PS: Is it Provia100 or Velvia50asa ? http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/other/40088-french-red-poppy.html
imported_peter_m Posted December 9, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted December 9, 2007 Thank you Ivan, I think I like the Velvia colors, looks like you have to watch it with Caucasian kin but it renders colors quite nice. That old lens is pretty nice, of course the new one is a bit better but it sure would be a sad state of affairs if it wasn't. AKA, Thank you for your comments. The old Telyts do quite well on digital if you look at some of the forum pots. An other one might come your way again. Doc, Thank you kindly. That one is with Velvia 100F. So far I like what I got, have to work myself trough a few more rolls of RVP 50 and 100F. I know some people don't like it but I think I do Peter
