Hello everyone,

show us your favorite high ISO shots from your M240 (4000-6400 without flash) 📷
What are your personal favorites – despite noise and maybe even banding?

Excessive noise is usually not a reason for me not to develop a photo. If necessary, there are always improving noise reduction techniques. However, banding is significantly harder to manage.
Additionally, the Visoflex for the 240 tends to reach its limits in low light, as it starts to lag more and focusing (even with peaking) becomes really challenging. Aperture values from 1.2 to 1.7 are very welcome here.

Feel free to share your high ISO shots from the 240 🙂

P.S.: M 240-P at f/1.7 in the Jurassic World Exhibition Berlin last sunday.

Since I don't have some special denoising software I never go above 3200 ASA, because with my M 240 then banding appears. So I try to stay at 2000 ASA if possible. But even so and only with Summicrons (f 2.0) I managed to do some shots in rather dark environment.
Here a shot under full moon at night at sea.

M 240, M-Elmarit 2,8/21mm ASPH, Full moon, 2000 ASA but shadows brighten up in PP, 1/6 second. So in reality it could be comparable to 4000 ASA.
