I currently use a Wotancraft Pilot 3.5L, which fits my Q2, spare battery, iPhone, EarPods, iPad mini, sunglasses, wallet, filters, etc. However, it's often too large for just a small camera, and other times too small when I need space for a jacket, water bottle, or documents.

I've tried larger camera messenger bags, but they tend to be heavy, thick, and overly structured. They’re great for carrying gear from A to B or organizing a system camera with lenses but feel excessive for a one-camera setup like the Q2.

Lately, I’ve been using a leather pouch for the Q2, tossing it into a non-photographic messenger or shoulder bag to cover my other daily needs. Usually, I just keep the camera on my shoulder, ready to use when I'm out and about.

I'm waiting for my Q3 43 to arrive, but got a good sale price on the Oberwerth Q3 bag (relatively speaking) so sprung for it.   Over a decade ago when buying the RX-1, Sony sent me a comparably sized Sony LCS-SL10 bag that was not a lot to look at, but has extreme space efficiency with all kinds of compartments for a small bag, way more than I need.  The weight of these 2 bags are similar, but I really like the handle on top of the Sony bag, although it degrades from the aesthetics.

From a functional standpoint the Sony bag blows away the Oberwerth, but the Oberwerth really has beautiful design and craftsmanship.  I'm surprised how well the Sony nylon bag has held up after 10 years of lots of travel and use.  No issue with any of the several zippers that have been used probably thousands of times.

I’ve got the Oberwerth shown above but, with a half case on my Q3, it is just way too snug.

Good to hear it is a snug fit, exactly what I am seeking.  I'm not planning on adding a half case or base plate grip, so this should be ideal.   I'll know in a couple of days when the Q3 43 arrives.

Please post a photo of bag + 43 😃

Many of the small bags e.g., 2L,  are tight for the Q cameras.  The interior widths tend to range from 3.7 to 4 inches - fine for keeping a slim bag, but annoying for pulling out the camera quickly and replacing it in the bag.   And if you keep even a modest amount of things in the pockets, e.g., a filter, a power bank, an extra battery or your cell phone, this intrudes on the camera space.  I have the Wotancraft 2L and 3.5 L, and the latter is easier for accessing my Q3 with wrist strap, extra battery and polarizer.  I avoided the Oberwerth Q bag because of its width - fits the camera, but too snug,   I would check the dimensions before buying,

I finally am home with my new Q3 43 today, in the Oberwerth Q3 bag.

It is snug, but perfect.   Currently, in the excess space I have a blower, charger cord and lens cloth, also some paperwork.  Currently I have a Gordie's neck strap with neck pad attached.   I should be able to add a few filters as well.   Currently, I do have the hot shoe thumb grip added.   I don't see myself adding an additional grip or base plate.  I'm happy with the result.
