Good day everyone.  Here's an exciting and very unscientific comparison for those who may be interested.  I recently got the Cron Dual Range (1962 Copy) Amazing lens, crisp, elegant, and capable of close focusing to half a meter.  I was amazed at the higher contrast than expected, especially in B&W, and while the Bokeh is more nervous than the Lux and Nokton when using the close focus function, it actually softens a lot. all shots at 2. with some at 1 m approx and some close focus. It is not difficult to see which shots are close focus for both the DF and the Lux.  It is also not difficult to notice the switch from F2 to F1.4 on the lux and F1 on the Nokton.  So I am not labeling them. This way the focus is on evaluating the visuals, not the data.

The 50 Lux close focus is a joy, and the bokeh pure cream.  It's velvet.  I shot it at 2 and at 1.4 and then at close focus.

The DF gains in character, and it is an incredible performer.  In B&W it is poetic

The Nokton is a little crazy, like the Noctilux.  It swirls and does it's unique thing....but it definitely is a little more of an acquired taste. Great lens though.

All shots on M11. ISO 64. Speed in Auto.  Lens profiles and corrections disabled in LR for all lenses, and the B&W conversion for all is just the Lightroom toggle to B&W. No editing of any kind, none. for any of them.

Don't be too harsh if you are expecting a more technical analysis. I am not qualified to give it, but just ask yourself....which do you like?

50 Cron Dual Focus (1962)

Notice the 7th through 10th on CLose focus...it softens the bokeh and competes with the Lux at 1.4.  It is much more contrasty than I expected.  A lot of character.

50 Lux (Close Focus)...to say this lens paints on velvet is an understatement.

50 CV Nokton 1. At a fraction of the price it gives the Noctilux a run for it's money.  Don't believe me, research the data.  You do have to show some intent using this baby. it is sharp, like razonr sharp, where it counts.  The rest is always a little bit of a guess.  at 1. it does simplify quite a bit.  This is a challenge for a lens of this characteristics/ A fence on the right and back, Wind and a lot of movement.  If it is going to show what it's made of this would be the time.  And it does deliver.
