Leica SL3 Manual Focus Override

Greetings,

Is there a way to turn off manual focus override on SL3?

I have my camera set to AFs and when I shoot with the 35mm APO SL, in the heat of a moment during event photography, I often accidentally turn the focus ring when my shutter is half pressed, making me go out of focus. 

I don’t want the focus ring to do anything when I’m in AFs. Switching to MF is easy via custom button and I want to have full control when to activate MF and when to be in AF only.

Not that I can tell. You could try using rear button focusing (manual focus with joystick AF).

You can report this via the Fotos app and Leica may address it in a firmware update.

Thanks Gordon. I do use the manual focus with joystick AF occasionally, but for fast paced events my preference is to half press the shutter to trigger focus. 
I will get in touch with Leica.
