Lovely, I've crossed on the bridge a couple of times, but not as often as my Mother who would take the train to Dundee for school / college from St Andrews . That was in a time when St Andrews had a railway station. I can never understand why the station was closed, considering the popularity of the University, golf etc.

I never knew that St Andrews had a railway station. I always assumed that Leuchars was the closest rail stop. Where was the station in St Andrews?

If I remember correctly it was where the bus station is now, the last time I used it (with my parents) I was 5 or 6 years old. Station road / Doubledykes rd.

Many happy holidays there with my Scottish family.
