Hi from Europe, I tested a Leica SL3-S in a store and it has exactly the same problem. The images after half-pressing the shutter button are brighter than what I see before half-pressing. This is not how a photographer can work. This is unforgivable for a device costing 5k dollars and more. I have a Sony A1 and I have never had such problems, it is clearly a bug. I tried shooting professional assignments with the SL3 and it was unusable. No matter what I set, nothing helped, not even a factory reset or a fw update. Leica wake up.

Ps my Leica SL Summicron 21 Apo has 4.0 software installed. The lens was recently purchased last month from Leica Australia. The firmware update is 4.1

I think they addressed the issue with the new firmware. From the German Forum:

“FEHLERKORREKTUR

Ein Problem wurde behoben, bei dem das Objektiv falsche Blendenwerte a die Kamera übermittelte, was zu überbelichteten Bildern führte.”

"BUG FIX

Fixed an issue where the incorrect aperture values were being sent to the camera, resulting in overexposed images."
