My 24 underexposes on my S3 by over 2 stops.

it doesn't on my S007 and all my other lenses don't underexpose on my S3.

Has anybody experienced something similar or any idea what I can do except sending either the lens or the camera or both in to service?

Look into the lens as you press the shutter and make sure the aperture is moving to the correct diameter. (Not at all wide open, quite small at f/16, etc.) Does it underexpose at all f/stops? I could imagine that the camera thinks it's wide open, somehow.

Tom0511,  I agree with Eclectic Man's post #4.  I would also suggest you clean the lens contacts and even camera contacts.  Worst case, the 24 might need a vacation to the Wetzlar mothership for a check up. The S 24 as you know is a superb lens.  BTW, I only had this type issue with S 70 once.  The lens needed warranty servicing at Wetzlar back in 2010 for a faulty electronic aperture.   r/ Mark
