ND filter series 5.5 Leica CL

I know someone here who uses a Leica CL with CL lenses. These lenses use series 5.5 filters, fastened with the correct filter ring. There are plenty of UV and other filters around, but I have been unable to find an ND filter. Does anybody know if this was ever offered by any producer?

If you remove the glass from a 39 mm filter and lock it in with a 5.5  lens hood or ring, it will be rattly, but it works. There are also 5.5 to 39 adapter rings (eBay) but be careful which one. Some have incorrect thread pitch.
