1. You can always set the Q3 to B&W jpegs, plus raw. That way, you will see B&W in the viewfinder when shooting, but you will have raw files in colour that you can process to B&W.

2. Dont confiuse the different effects of the greater MP resolution of the Q3 and the greater depth bit depth of the Q2M.

3. Good processing software can extract amazing detail from low level shots on the Q3.

4. The numbers dont tell the full story: your subjective evaluation is important.
