I had the M8 years ago and found that 1250 is still very usable. I did note, however, that the sensor is ISO invariant, meaning that an image shot at a lower ISO but pushed in Lightroom  to a higher ISO looked very much like if it had been shot in the higher ISO in camera. Knowing this, I used to shoot at either 200 or 800 ISO and just push in LR. FWIW, LR's noise reduction works very well w the M8 files. Pushing and cleaning up in LR, I think you should be able to get ISO 2500 without much of an issue.

Cute cat, btw. We also had a tortoise colored cat named Daisy. Looked very much like yours, too.

They are cool cats, very shy, but she's the protector of Dexter and the family. Thanks for the information as well.

How did you get to use 200 and 800 ISO on the M8? Wouldn't it have been 160 or 640 ISO?

Well, it’s been a while since I shot an M8 and can’t say that recall exact the ISOs that were available on the camera. Perhaps it was 160 and 640, can’t really recall. I do know that I would shoot at lower ISOs and then push in LR. Also, I currently have an ME, M9M, and an M10M. With the ME, I shoot at 160 or 800 and then push. The M9M would be 400 or 1600. The M10M is 160 or 800.  Regardless, the point is that the images are very ISO-invariant and lend themselves to significant pushing in LR.
