daned Posted April 13, 2024 Share #1 Posted April 13, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Any benefit in using the q3 with a haze filter or any sort of filter to remove glare or haze? Are there any benefits of using a filter as never used one to get better clear pics?
Advertisement Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Hi daned, Take a look here Q3 Filter question. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted April 13, 2024 Share #2 Posted April 13, 2024 Better use the Haze slider in postprocessing. A haze filter is a very mild red filter designed to remove a bit of blue. The software solution also boosts contrast in the mid tones.

jaapv Posted April 13, 2024 Share #4 Posted April 13, 2024 Using colour filters on a non-monochrome digital camera will degrade image quality and not bring any benefit. You can use a polarizer with good results, protect your lens with a dedicated protection filter, use ND filters or use effect filters (star, etc) if so desired. Qwertynm Posted April 15, 2024 Share #5 Posted April 15, 2024 I'd try a polarizer. can help in certain lighting situations
My1stLeicaCam Posted April 29, 2024 Share #6 Posted April 29, 2024 Got this K&F vnd with 1/4 black mist. https://www.kentfaith.com/KF01.2016_49mm-black-mist-1-4-nd2-400-variable-nd-filter-with-double-sided-28-layer-anti-reflection-green-film-and-lever-nano-x-series However only realise cannot attach the original hood. ‘When adjusting the vnd, there’re black dots to denote each stop. ‘There’s an arrow that indicate at which stop. Notice that if it’s between 2 stop marks, there is a cross on the image.
