Recharge Leica Q2 - Suggestions!

Hi everyone!

At the end of the month I have decided to take a trip/expedition to Mauritania!

Reading the country information there will be few opportunities to use electricity.

I have a Leica Q2 and already have two batteries. To avoid buying more, do you have any information on which cable I can buy to charge in the car or can I connect the charger (BC-SCL4) to a power bank?

I would buy a Nitecore charger which has a USB plug which should work with anything. Most newer vehicles have a USB socket for charging and many hotels have USB charging outlets in rooms.

I believe the new higher capacity battery used in the Q3 can also be used in the Q2. Subject to checking that is in fact correct it may be worth investing in a couple of those.

The Leica BC-SCL4 is mains powered only. The Leica BC-SCL6 is powered by USB-C and can charge two batteries simultaneously.

Just two things to note about the Nitecore :

it has an attached USB-A connector. Make sure your power bank isn’t USB-C only.

it can’t charge a completely flat battery - always swap your batteries before they completely die.

LEICA USB-C DC-COUPLER DC-SCL6. 
 

And the.  You should be able to use the battery for the camera and other stuff too.
