My Nitecore recharger works for BP-SCL4 only.

All my 3 BP-SCL6 not work.

Mine handles both types at the same time. The newer batt takes a little longer, but that's to be expected.

Agree, I charge new batteries in old chargers all the time. It just takes forever to fill the charge versus the newer chargers. That said expect a long charge time with the new batteries in any charger.

Just tried this and it worked fine. I wonder if your brick isn't supplying enough power to charge them together? I could see the charger waiting for one to be charged first in that instance. Like a charger for drone batteries.
