Comparing 18mm f3.8 M lens on M11 and SL3

Top Scene with M file name 18/3.8 on M11. No processing except to take H/L in C1 to -100 to bring out blue sky. Same with SL3 image. which is the second or bottom image with Z file name. Both on tripod which was not moved between shots.

Comments on what you see AFA sharpness is concerned? BTW at time of processing C1 did not yet have a ProStandard Profile for the SL3 so used generic SL profile.

Did you update C1P?

It has been fully supported since day one

Jaaa…. Leica removed magenta. Took me a few hours to find the correct  colours to fix a m11 raw-standard in PS.

 

(PS dos not automatically remember „my“ standard - i must choose it every time with new pictures.)

M10R files remembered…..all M´ s remembered….

 

What´ s the true colour of the roof…. pic one or two?

Indeed, colours on #2 look more correct. I need to try this myself. But I wonder how Leica can decide to deliver very different raw outputs from the same sensor. To me it would mean they could finally apply a fix via FW to the M11, too.

Not with my C1. SL3 only uses generic profile. Will keep checking. I remember asking C1 to update profile for M11M and it took them a few weeks to do it.

Sure SL3 converts with an SL profile, but not one specific to the SL3. 

IF you have an SL3 you can confirm what I say since it was not supported from day one with specific profile C1 calls their ProStandrd profile.

Agree with that, but let's see what an SL3 profile gives. I just hope it does not revert to an M11 look.

16.3.7 the only update 

• Leica SL3: file support, wired tethering, live view.

Thanks. My C1 never indicated an update. Just downloaded 16.3.7 so that must include SL3 ProStandard.

there is only one bug, that i hope they fix soon.

You can use the in-software shutter button when using M lenses or non-leica L lenses. this is a strange one.
