Best Leica look for skin tones?

I have tried the eternal Leica look and found it amazing for non people, but with people it adds too much red for the skin tone.

Which jpeg colour profile do you find best for skin tones? For me, I think standard seems to be the best.

I agree. Eternal has too much magenta and contrast. In my opinion contemporary has the best skin tone among the Leica Looks.

Use Standard or Vivid with contrast -1 rather than a Leica Look.

I feel like all the actual Leica looks look really bad. I was really disappointed when I tried them. I hope we can do our own looks in the future.

Yeah I wish we can tweak the settings ourselves on the looks. Leica you hearing us?

I have been using Leica CNT or STD if CNT makes lips too purple / pinkish

We can -it is called editing raws in Lightroom et al.

If getting final results in camera, goes above your head, doesn’t mean it’s a weird request. Fuji does exactly this and you can generate your own looks. The Leica Looks are Leicas attempt to compete with it.

The Leica looks are indeed a transparent marketing attempt.
I hope that I am a better photographer than to rely on the attempts of software engineers to steal my photographic creativity and throw more than half of the potential quality in the rubbish bin. When I still shot film I also refused to accept Supermarket prints. Fuji caters to another segment of the photographic market, so the attention to OOC results is understandable.

Seems like you missed the point here. If Lightroom will be used, I am sure we all will be shooting DNG.

I shoot raw + jpeg, edit raws for photos that I want to print or photos that I absolutely love. For all the other shots (basically not the hero shot) I try to not spend time on post processing. OOC JPEGs from Leica are pretty amazing already and imo more than good enough to share with friends and family and to enjoy looking at on a screen.

I beg to differ. If an image is worth keeping it is worth optimizing. If not I will use my iPhone. And even then I will run quite a few through Snapseed  or PS Express.

Well, we are talking about the OP here who belongs to the other 5% then. I don't understand why you would talk about Lightroom when he is referring to jpeg with the Leica Looks. I believe Lightroom does not show Leica Looks anyway.

Nonetheless, it is not easy to get a good balanced jpeg out of the Leica Looks. Better go STD as skin tone is most accurate there. And of course shooting with both jpeg and dng is best for backup in case Leica Looks destroys that skin tone.

Even jpgs need corrections and occasionally cropping. LR thus.

True but not in this case since Lightroom removes Leica Looks after corrections and cropping. Better using other apps such as Snapseed.

I think it depends somewhat on your subject. I agree though the whole thing is a bit underwhelming and half-baked. For instance, there being no proper B&W look seems bonkers. I presume more will come with time.
