Ivar B Posted March 20, 2024 Share #1 Posted March 20, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Interesting lens will be presented in about 2 weeks - I expect this will be a top class lens like other Art lenses.
Advertisement Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 Hi Ivar B, Take a look here Sigma DG DN Art 1.2/50. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Dr. G Posted March 20, 2024 Share #2 Posted March 20, 2024 I'm a 50 guy, so I may need to pick this up. I have the 50mm Summilux-SL, but I'd much rather travel with something smaller. In terms of Sigma lenses being top class, I just picked up the revised 20mm ART f/1.4 DG DN and I am dumfounded by the image quality of this lens. I'm still considering the 21 APO, but it's only because the APO shows pretty much no volume/volumetric distortion at the sides of the image - but I don't know if that's worth an extra $4500 or so. The 5 % extra quality is possibly not worth USD 4500 for 95 % of the users - but I have heard from a loca user that the APO 21 is truly stunning. Dr. G Posted March 26, 2024 Share #5 Posted March 26, 2024 The question is... can this replace my very large and heavy 50mm Summilux-SL?
