My leica MP get light meter delay about 10-12 sec acter half press. Should I go for CLA ? I dont use any sofe release. or Should I just let it go and use it ? will 10-12 sec delay will drain my battry much faster ? I also miss my Leica M-A after my MP get this issues.😅 Thanks. Mute-on Posted February 28, 2024 Share #2  Posted February 28, 2024 Remove the batteries, let the camera dry out completely in a dry cabinet/container with desiccant or raw rice, then clean battery contacts with isopropyl alcohol and install new SR44 batteries.  If there is still a delay, you may have done damage, in which case get it looked at by a Leica expert (not Leica themselves - it will take far too long and cost far too much).  Good luck! 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you have LR44 batteries in already the voltage goes down gradually but without the battery failing until the very end. So replace them with SR44.
