Olaf_ZG Posted February 13, 2024 Share #1 Posted February 13, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) So I went some days abroad, just before leaving i took the SL and mounted the sigma ef adapter and the planar 85mm on it. Didn’t check though. Now switching the camera on, the small top display gives me an error, but doesn’t say which one. The camera still stand it M which might not be supported? the backscreen remains black. I have no other lenses with me. What could this be? Thanks. The Sigma EF-to-L adapter isn't supported on the SL, only the SL2 and SL2s. You need to use the (discontinued) Novoflex adapter, or a "dumb" adapter, with the SL. DirkZ Posted February 13, 2024 Share #4 Posted February 13, 2024 Is it "System Error"? If so, it could be the shutter. I've had this with my SL2-S.
Olaf_ZG Posted February 14, 2024 Author Share #5 Posted February 14, 2024 No, it just writes “error” on the top display…
Olaf_ZG Posted February 17, 2024 Author Share #6 Posted February 17, 2024 Returned home, tried the 24-90, but error remained. My worry grew, as I would hate to have my camera send in for repair. Removed card no. 1, and the camera worked. Put the card back in, no problem at all. So, obviously it had to do with the card: might not have been put correctly. Till now, I always format in camera, never had any problems. I more assume that I didn’t put the card in as it should, may be it was even locked. I simply took out and put in the card, and that did the trick. Lesson learned for next time.
